Production and printing of CD copies

Audio Copies

I can can deliver production quantities of your final product in whatever format you wish.

  • CD DUplicatorShort-run (Less than about 250) CD’s are best produced on CD-R media and I can do this in-house or up to 500 copies sub-contracted as required.

  • Larger production runs (500+) are more cost-effective if “pressed” by an independent manufacturing facility.  I can project manage large-scale production runs and have the final product delivered directly to you.   Pressed CDs can also have fully printed discs.

NOTE: Where your recording includes copyrighted material, licences must be obtained before any CDs etc can be duplicated.  Please see my MCPS Copyright Licensing Page for more information.

Artwork / Cover Design

For short-run duplication you can either design your own covers, or I can help you organise graphics for your CD.

There are three parts to be printed.

  • On-body printing of the CD disc itself.
  • Tray label for the back of the CD jewel case (if used)
  • Cover insert  for the front lid of the CD.  (Commercial CDs often have a multi-page booklet).

All aspects of CD design and manufacture can be accommodated.

  • I have limited in-house design and print facilities to produce CD-Rs with simple on-body printing, tray label & cover insert to enable production of quality one-offs and low volume runs.  This is great if you don’t need 500 CDs or you need a demo recording for a potential client with only selected tracks included.
  • If required, design and artwork can also be sub contracted to professional designers.
  • Large scale pressings (over 250) are best handled by an independent manufacturing facility who usually handle artwork and printing as part of their package.

If you are designing your own graphics, for me to work with, please provide each part of the design as a separate part (e.g. Background Images and Text), as fine adjustments and changes may be required which may be very difficult if the text is part of the background.

Please submit any picture or photo elements in one of the following PC formats:

  •  .tif .jpg .bmp .gif (Other formats may be possible but please check first).
