Studio Recording? .... With Dr Jekyl Mobile??
 I can make original or additional recordings back at my editing /
mixdown studio. E.g.
- Overdubs to previously recorded material (either made by Dr
Jekyl or brought in by you – live or sequenced e.g. in Steinberg
Cubase):
- Voice / solo vocals
- Single solo instruments (Quieter ones - e.g. not drums!).
- Electronic instruments that can plug directly into the
mixing desk e.g. keyboards, or indirectly e.g. guitar /
bass via a recording pre-amp (Line6 Pod XT Pro / Bass Pod XT
Pro available).
- Voiceovers / spoken word – e.g. for spoken book or
promotional voiceovers.
- Sound Effects (SFX) production & editing – for use in
theatrical shows.
Why Overdub?
“Overdubbing” is used in all sorts of recordings for many different
reasons. E.g.
- You want to perform more than one instrument or part on a recording
yourself.
- You want to perform a vocal or solo part several times and then edit
together the best into a “perfect” take.
- You want to capture the vocal performance “clean” without picking up
the other live instruments.
- You want to record several different versions against the same
backing track (e.g. English, French, German versions).
- You want to rectify mistakes in the original performance.
- You have recorded a performance elsewhere and want to add, improve
or change some parts without changing the other instrumentation.
How does it work?
This sort of recording is done at my base studio in Hungerford and,
depending upon how much there is to record and how quickly you can achieve
the performance you want to capture, studio time can be booked by the
